California Updates ABC Test Exemptions

Published on October 1, 2021, California legislation has posted amendments to exemptions to the three part worker classification test known as the “ABC” test that will go into effect January 1, 2022. While these exemptions only affect a few industries, it is proof of the ever-evolving nature of worker classification compliance in the Future of Work.

Employers across the country, not just those located in California, should familiarize themselves with AB5 as it is setting a precedent for the industry. Check out our article, The ABC Test Explained, for more information.
